About Project

Checkstyle Beans project contains the set of NetBeans modules needed for annotation of the code that does not match the defined Checkstyle rules. It works inside the editor, displaying the results as soon as the edited file is saved.

You can select your own checkstyle configuration file, property file and/or properties (since 1.3.0) and you can also configure the classpath (since 1.2.0). The plugin should work with upcoming version of the NetBeans. It was built and tested with NetBeans 6.0, 6.1, 6.5 and 6.7. Please feel free to send me your opininions by an email to hejlp at seznam.cz. I'm still improving the plugin and any feedback would be much appreciated.

Choose version 2.x.x in order to use Checkstyle 5.

Choose version 1.x.x in order to use Checkstyle 4.

In version 2.0.0 with support for Checkstyle 5 plugin had to be incompatibly changed (as Checkstyle 5 itself did so).

The integrated GUI builder filter was removed in version 1.2.0. You can use this as custom filter in standard way since then. This filter is now part of the Extra Code.
